Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Position Summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operational functions, ensuring that the company's goals are met efficiently and effectively. The COO will collaborate with the CEO and other executive team members to develop and implement strategies to drive the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments.

- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals.

- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

- Budget Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.

- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and company policies.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and other key staff members.

- Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of operational initiatives.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior operational role, preferably within the chemical industry.

- Proven track record of successfully managing operations and driving process improvements.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

- Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
