Data Director

Position Summary

The Data Director will be responsible for overseeing the company’s data strategy, ensuring the effective collection, management, and utilization of data. This role requires a visionary leader with strong technical expertise in data management and analytics, and the ability to drive the organization’s data initiatives to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Data Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals.

- Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.

- Data Management: Oversee the collection, storage, management, and analysis of data across the organization.

- Analytics: Drive the development and deployment of advanced analytics and business intelligence solutions to support data-driven decision-making.

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the data team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement data management tools and technologies to enhance data capabilities.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including IT, Marketing, and Product Development, to integrate data insights into business processes.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR.

- Innovation: Stay current with emerging data trends and technologies, and incorporate them into the company’s data strategy where appropriate.

- Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of data initiatives and make data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data management or analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of data management tools and technologies, including databases, data warehouses, ETL processes, and analytics platforms.

- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing data team.

- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple data initiatives simultaneously.

- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of data protection regulations and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in the technology or consulting industry.

- Advanced certifications in data management or analytics (e.g., CDMP, CAP).

- Multilingual abilities, particularly in Czech and English.

- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies.
